metropolitan Washington, D.C. for
over 30 years, Arthritis & Rheumatism
Associates, P.C. (ARA) has provided
infusion services to its patients
since 1999. Our three practice-based
infusion centers are staffed by
registered nurses with infusion

a comfortable setting in which to
receive treatment.
ARA is one of the largest and most
highly regarded rheumatology practices
in the country. Our physicians have
extensive knowledge and experience
in the infusion of biologic and
other infusion based treatments
for rheumatologic and inflammatory
disorders. These include Remicade
and Rituxan, among others.

ARA has evaluated numerous new medicines
for a broad spectrum of conditions.
This commitment to research not

care provided to patients, it also
provides our physicians with early
access to new therapies. Through
both clinical trials and routine
medical care, ARA has successfully
treated patients with Rheumatoid
Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis,
Psoriasis, Ankylosing Spondylitis,

Working
with Our Physicians |
 |
|
Patients
who are referred for infusion
will first see a physician who
takes a medical history and conduct
any necessary preliminary investigations.
All ARA offices have x-ray, ECG,
and other laboratory services.
Our ACLS trained physicians and
nurses are always on site when
patient receive their infusions,
Physicians are on call after hours,
in the event someone has delayed
infusion reaction.
After each infusion, ARA sends
a letter of notification to the
referring physician; this allows
for the timely scheduling of patient
follow-up visits and any adjustments
in dosing. As required, ARA physicians
also schedule follow-up visits
for patient monitoring.
